Arnie the Carneddau stallion bonding with a foal. Stallions are incredibly social and it’s great to see them interacting with the younger generation. Stallions are so important to herd structure & the Carneddau is one of the best places to see it in action (in the UK) #carneddau
I didn’t have my camera to hand (just my phone) - but what a treat to watch the Aurora Borealis (Northern Lights) from my garden 😍😍. I was lucky enough that Alfie our Highland pony took an interest too and he stood still long enough to be somewhat in focus🐴🐴
Southern belles… It’s time for our June cover reveal! 🤩
We share a beautiful image from @RuthOnTheHoof who captured a rare Eriskay pony wearing traditional creels full of seaweed.
For this month’s magazine, we take inspiration from the beautiful South of Scotland...🏴
My photo of Roandale Dinky Doo (Dales pony) is up for a People’s Choice Award - I’d appreciate you taking a look and voting if you think it’s worthy! 🥰🐴

Bunbury Sandringham the Welsh Section B, a.k.a. the Welsh Pony. This breed has sadly become another British rare breed. They are in the “At Risk” category of the @RBSTrarebreeds 2024/25 Watchlist. Let’s hope this news encourages more people to take an interest in them 🐴🐴
Exhibition sponsorship 📸📸
My first ever exhibition will open on 6th July 2024 until 6th August.
If any companies/organisations would be interested in sponsoring some of the printing & framing costs? Please get in touch if you’d like to discuss options with me 😁🐴 #cumbria
I’ve travelled all over the U.K. with this Tentbox rooftent on my car - visiting these wonderful ponies and amazing places - I love it! It’s held up in some wild weather! I’m a Tentbox Ambassador and you can get £50 off using my code. DM if you have any questions about them 😎🚗
I can’t believe I’m seeing Koniks at @lowthercastle - they have rare Fell ponies on their doorstep who would be a much better choice for nature (barely any miles transportation on the road for a start). How poorly informed and thoughout @RBSTrarebreeds@RareBreedChris
I am doing an online talk for the White Memorial Conservation Center about my British Native Pony project and my travels.

My first ever exhibition will be held at the Old Courthouse in Shap, Cumbria on 6th July - 6th August 😁🐴
Let me know what photos you think I should have there - and anything else you’d like to see 🐴🐴
Horses are a native species to the British Isles which is why they’re vital to our ecosystems. They graze differently to cattle etc due to different dentition & digestive systems. They’re wonderful pollinators & habitat providers. Native breeds are the best suited to our climate
A family from Cleveleys is appealing for help to find their lost dog. Bear the Lakeland Terrier is the best friend of their 23 year old daughter Ellie who has additional needs so they are desperate to get him home.
Shetland pony on the Isle of Skye taking a break from browsing the seaweed. They love to come down and self-select the seaweed - it’s interesting to see the same pony eat a lot on one visit and hardly any on another. They know what they need best 🥰🐴
