Remember when this fanbase was saying Coby Mayo was the 1st baseman of the future of this team and he continues to get hand out after hand out. The other guys on the team have notice that too he needs to go back to the minors or another team he’s always been overrated #Birdland
@OriolesMagic23 Alonso is worse defender then Coby Mayo and for that type of contract he’s asking if we want a bad defensive 1b that can hit for power then stick with Mayo but in my opinion I don’t think Mayo has proven enough to be a starter on a team looking to compete for World Series
@PigTownSports@JeffPassan His values never been higher perfect sell high candidate. Love the guy but let’s see if he keeps this up all season before we hand out extensions. He has flamed out in second half in last two seasons. Would be stupid to not get the most back for him and then try to re-sign him
I know fans are upset about this but Ryan Ohearn is a major sell high candidate the orioles have right now his value has never been higher and is a free agent yeah he loves Baltimore but I’m sure he loves a chance at winning and more money better. Trade him and sign him next year
@kambrice1tv Humm where have we seen this before, this team needs pitching more then we need a prospect that has shown he can’t hit in the majors more then once. Needed to be traded a long time ago
@PaulValleIII If your going to pick on one guy for not doing shit make sure you point fingers at Adley, gunner, Westburg, O’Neill all top order guys not performing. Mayo can’t hit or field in majors either. Should have been traded a long time ago for an ace pitcher. Don’t understand obsession
@kambrice1tv Theres no room unless there is injury or trade but he is being outplayed. He hasn’t shown he can hit major league pitching even in spring training and only gets starts with minor league squad or replaces starters thats your indication right there that I think he starts in minors
@Beachbyebye@kambrice1tv I don’t think Mountcastle is going anywhere at least not yet Mayo is not ready to play 1st base in the major leagues and has yet to even hit a fly ball at the major league level
Our hearts are heavy tonight as we mourn the passing of former Oriole, Brian Matusz.
A staple in our clubhouse from 2009-2016, Brian was beloved throughout Birdland, and his passion for baseball and our community was unmatched. He dedicated his time to connecting with any fan he could, was a cherished teammate, and always had a smile on his face.
Brian’s family and loved ones are in our thoughts and prayers at this difficult time.
@2osfans@WalterMaselli1@kambrice1tv Now this is a very rational and solid take. I would love to bring back Tanner Scott and really lock down bullpen but not sure Elias will spend for what hes asking then we might not have to worry about trading for these pitchers right now and maybe at deadline who knows
@2osfans@WalterMaselli1@kambrice1tv My opinion he doesnt move needle. This team needs to go to next level and win now. This move is just a coasting move. We can do better
@2osfans@WalterMaselli1@kambrice1tv I never said he was bad pitcher But he is on decline and is stats reflect that and it shows that in his starts on the road last season. Hes a #3 in my opinion and not what he once was. Ms want to dump him and his salary
@kambrice1tv 1 or 4. The Flaherty being trouble maker in clubhouse is all bull being made up by fans. Stay far away from Castillo. Saw fan post stats and he is on decline. Reason they want to dump him. Would love to sign Scott but Elias too cheap. Verlander past prime and chokes in playoffs
@kambrice1tv Both teams will now know Elias will be desperate and will up cost on both. If I had to choose one over other I would go with Cease. Only downside is rental but he’s younger but Castillo started to show he’s on the downward decline doesn’t move needle and more of same
@kambrice1tv Mayo has killer potential with his bat but the issue being faced is that he is a possible liability with his glove and we saw it at both 3B and 1B this past season. If he can bring us back an ace we do it. Time to win a World Series and stop hoarding prospects
