'CODE GEASS' director Goro Taniguchi says modern anime are suffering from a lack of directorial oversight
"The result of everyone doing things in a disconnected way is junk food."
He warns that the rise of 12-episode anime has contributed to a breakdown in the ability to train new staff
"Three episodes aren't enough to learn anything. The training system falls apart."
@hypareyli2 It's right, you'll enjoy yourself for a season or two, but it starts to get annoying when it tries to introduce new characters and just fucks the vibe up badly
@Shootcci@papaG62471341 To add to this, he actually praised Millie Alcock for her acting in HOTD and said that she'll probably do a fine job in this movie, it's just that the jokes are gonna be the same tired marvel-esque humour (I think he said superhero-esque but I may be wrong)
What amuses me about Critical Drinker’s raging hateboner for Supergirl is his arguing that nobody wants to watch an ignorant, rude, unfunny, drunk with a monotone delivery. And I think that lack of self awareness is sublime.
@Shootcci@papaG62471341 From the videos I've seen, all I can see about his commentary on Supergirl is that it seems like the same tired old James Gunn formula of a group of likeable misfits that'll band together for the umpteenth time. His major gripe was the stale tropes (Gunnisms)
>wow finally someone shows me compassion and does not just treat me like a tool
>i want to see him killed by the person who loves him the most
Fritz was right to treat her like shit
Every actor instantly said yes to Christopher Nolan’s ‘THE ODYSSEY’ except than Robert Pattinson who asked to read the script.
“You want to read it? Everyone else just said yes,’ Nolan replied.

AI has its place in the world and even in art, whether people like it or not. Yes, there comes a limit beyond which AI becomes redundant, but utilising AI to frame what you want to say better is not a terrible heresy
Martin Scorsese has joined a generative AI startup as a partner and advisor.
He adds that he has used AI during pre-production to help with storyboarding — “with this tool, I can share what I’m visualizing more clearly & efficiently to my creative team — the production designer, art designer and cinematographer.”
