I am grateful to God for today’s win again in my second road race in South Africa @Durban10k it’s good to see that the speed for the shorter distance is still there,
The sport always has lots of setbacks, but what is very important is never giving up!!
I will build on this for my next half marathon in 2 month’s time and later the full marathon, always good to see that everything from fueling, nutrition pre race is going very well, small but great ingredients for great result’s coming soon.
Thank you all and see you soon. #silverback 🦍
Upon verification, we have managed to get the academy where the kids come from. The very social media handles that posted the video. We are now in touch. Lets see how it goes. They have really beautiful talents truly. Thanks to everyone who came in to help.
One of the things that remain so dear to my heart is the desire to use technology to democratise education. I want to make it possible for the learner in Abim, Kaberamaido, Adjumani, Kikuube, Bundibugyo, Kihihi to be able to receive two-way instruction from the best teachers and examiners that money restricts to the top schools in the Kampala Metropolis.
As part of pushing this through, the team at @magezisolutions (a member of the @MageziHarvest Group) do run scheduled live classes every week and some teachers in these far away areas have taken it upon themselves to connect entire classes to attend! Just wow!
It is all about making a difference. No satisfaction beats that. Your school going child can sign up at https://t.co/f6pFPR4T7B
@DCICUg Am posting for a friend who’s not on social media. Kindly explain why his application for a multiple entry visa (100 USD) was “deferred”. Guy has children in Kampala and visits occasionally. Rather than reject his application, the officer advised my friend to apply for a certificate of residence (2,000+ USD). It’s like me walking into a car dealership specifically looking to buy a Toyota Vitz, but the salesperson suggests that I buy a Lamborghini instead! Is this typical @DCICUg? Application ID 239105603
People can learn how to survive suffering, pain and grief. People learn how to walk with a thorn in their side. Many learn how to walk with heartbreak, disappointment and regret. But not everyone knows how to walk with success.
@CAF_Online Guys came eyeball-to-eyeball with Messi and co. Pushed them all the way. Apart from Morocco, I don’t remember the last time I saw such a well organized and fearless group of players from the continent. Bravo Cape Verde.

Gen Kainerugaba Meets NMG Owners Over Daily Monitor, NTV Closure
The Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) and Senior Presidential Advisor for Special Operations, Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba, has met with the leadership of Nation Media Group (NMG) Uganda to discuss the ongoing closure of its outlets, which include NTV Uganda and the Daily Monitor.
The meeting, which took place at the Special Forces Command headquarters in Entebbe, was attended by NMG owner, Mr. Rostam Aziz, and his son, Mr. Saam Aziz, alongside Ms. Georgia Mutagaywa, the Chief of Staff of Taarifa Limited, which is the parent organization of NMG.
Veteran journalist and PLU leader Andrew Mwenda also attended, alongside Acting UPDF/Defence Public Information Director, Col. Chris Magezi.
The meeting follows the recent closure of NMG Uganda’s premises by security forces. The shutdown was instituted on the orders of the CDF following guidance of the President and Commander-In Chief of the UPDF. General Kainerugaba cited the sustained blackmail campaign by the media group against the government of Uganda and its leadership, alongside promoting opposition and foreign interests at the expense of Uganda.
During the deliberations, specific instances of what the government deems biased and malicious reporting were reviewed, with the NMG ownership committing to adopting a more patriotic, balanced, and objective approach to their journalism moving forward.
This meeting is part of an ongoing dialogue to resolve the standoff between the media group and the government.
Gen. Kainerugaba announced via his social media channels that he will present a formal report on the discussions to the President for consideration before a final decision on reopening the premises is made.
