Some clarity on ForgeBase, $GOBBL, and what I’m building next.

I’ve traded memecoins for a long time. I knew the space was speculative, chaotic, and full of bad actors. But launching my own project, and building a platform intended to
host others, made the incentives impossible to ignore.

Too much of this industry revolves around KOL access, paid promotion, manufactured “community,” disposable launches, and pump-and-dump economics.

A coin can be three days old and marketers are already in the DMs calling it dead, recommending a new mint, offering to bring “buyers,” and promising to push the
replacement toward a particular market cap.

The existing holders aren’t treated like a community. They’re treated like the remains of the last campaign.

I don’t want to build a business that depends on that cycle.

I don’t want ForgeBase making money because projects need paid visibility, manufactured attention, or another launch after the previous audience gets abandoned. If the business succeeds when communities are disposable, then I’m building the wrong business.

So here is the honest decision:

ForgeBase as the broad, multi-project memecoin platform I originally envisioned is over.

The code isn’t.

The underlying technology, community infrastructure, identity, chat, market data, rewards, moderation, discovery, and the rest of the stack, is being reworked and rebuilt around one project where I can remain directly accountable: my independent $GOBBL project.

All of my product effort is now moving toward the rebuilt GOBBL site and experience.

To be completely clear: the $GOBBL coin is not relaunching.

Same mint.
No replacement token.
No migration.
No reset.
No abandoning the people already here.

When I talk about a relaunch, I mean the platform and GOBBL website, not the coin.

I don’t know whether the slower, more honest path will make more money. It may make less. But I know I’m not interested in the quick-scam path, and I’m not building a business whose incentives require me to become another part of it.

$GOBBL will remain the place where I build publicly, show the receipts, own the mistakes, and find out whether a memecoin can become something durable without treating every new buyer as fuel for somebody else’s exit.

Same coin. New focus.

One more thing I’m learning:

Building a mobile home for random memecoins means inheriting every project’s moderation problems, bad actors, questionable claims and App Review risk.

Building directly for $GOBBL means we control the product, content, community, rewards and roadmap—and every hour of development compounds in one place.

ForgeBase taught me how to build the machinery.

I’m starting to question what that machinery should actually be building.

No grand announcement yet. But the experiment is producing an answer.

“Approved” and “paid” are deliberately different states. ForgeBase never signs or sends transfers. I manually send USDC from the platform treasury, record the signature, and the system verifies it on-chain before calling anything paid.

Today’s work included first-time Google sign-in, chat spam protection, support-case abuse limits, contract and buy discovery, message formatting, mobile and desktop chat bugs, traffic analytics, reward operations, account deletion, social previews, search indexing, private-message access, community insights, and a new Why ForgeBase page.

I spent eight months building ForgeBase before launching $GOBBL. Now real people are arriving, using it in unexpected ways, breaking things, reporting what they find, earning bounties, and watching fixes reach production.

$GOBBL is not the ForgeBase platform token. It is my independent live beta community, the proving ground where this platform has to survive actual memecoin users instead of a polished demo.

This is what “building in the memecoin space” looks like from my side.

During $GOBBL’s launch, PRIME found a beautifully stupid sign-in bug: a signed-out visitor could be routed toward a path protected by the same authentication they were trying to start.

The door was effectively locked from the inside.

The report was reproducible, blocked a core entry path, and gave me what I needed to trace the problem quickly. That earned this award.

Important context: $12 is not a flat rate for every bug. ForgeBase reviews reports individually based on impact, reproducibility, report quality, and usefulness. Award amounts will vary.

This is exactly why I wanted GOBBL launching on ForgeBase during public beta. Real users find the seams. We document the miss, fix it, reward the contributor, and keep building.

First bounty. Plenty more product to harden.

I keep getting asked why $GOBBL doesn’t have Telegram. It isn’t missing. It’s deliberate.

Anyone is welcome to promote GOBBL inside their own Telegram communities. But GOBBL’s official community will remain on ForgeBase.

I built ForgeBase because coin communities are still fragmented across private invite links, detached from discovery, the project page, market context, updates, rewards and the rest of the experience.

Launching GOBBL on ForgeBase and then retreating to Telegram the moment community building gets difficult would make the beta meaningless. I’m not going to ask other communities to trust a platform I’m unwilling to use for my own project.

This is the hard version: test a different model in public, find where it fails and keep improving it.

We’ll either prove ForgeBase can become a real alternative community surface, or GOBBL will expose every reason it can’t.

There will be no official GOBBL Telegram.

If you run a Telegram group and want to promote $GOBBL there, go nuts. Send people. Raise hell. Telegram can be the billboard.

But we’re not opening the bazillionth isolated group chat, stapling a logo to it and calling that community innovation. That horse has been beaten so long even Mr. Ed stopped talking.

The entire point of this launch is to help beta test ForgeBase: a discoverable community home attached to the coin itself, with the profile, market, updates, rewards and actual conversation in one place.

ForgeBase public beta is open again, and $GOBBL is now live.

GOBBL will be the independently branded community I use to test and refine this next phase of ForgeBase in public.

Not with demo data or scripted activity, with real members, real market conditions, native chat, updates, memes, Pulse, achievements, rewards, transparency, moderation, and mobile usage.

Real pressure is how we find out whether the platform actually holds together.

One important distinction:

ForgeBase is my business platform, operated through RootSignal LLC and built to serve independent coin communities.

GOBBL is my own separate, fucked-up memecoin experiment. He is not the ForgeBase coin, does not represent ownership in ForgeBase, and receives no platform-token status, preferred ranking, or special product rules.

That separation is partly good business and partly basic risk management. Making a radioactive goblin with no impulse control the official coin of my actual company feels exactly like the kind of decision GOBBL would make.

I’m starting this phase with my own coin because if something breaks, I own the problem. I get to experience ForgeBase from both sides: as the person operating the platform and as a coin creator depending on it.

Public membership is open. New coin onboarding will remain closed during this initial beta while GOBBL puts the platform under real-world pressure.

ForgeBase is the business.

GOBBL is the radioactive test subject.

Let’s see what survives.

Chart sites list everything, so it’s hard to tell which coins have a real community behind them.

Telegram only works if you already know where to look, and then you have to hope the room is official, the culture isn’t toxic, and the bots are configured properly.

Reddit isn’t the meme discovery engine it once was.

X is still great, but there’s a lot of noise and only a little signal.

I considered it for almost 30 seconds. Then I remembered that using CodePipeline feels remarkably similar to GitHub being down, except the status page is green.

Modern DevOps is just choosing which billion-dollar platform gets to ruin your afternoon.

@cipherctl Appreciate it brother. Yep, bug bounty will still exist, just with a new spice. These type of programs will allow for any future coin to sponsor the program if they would like for some extra publicity. This was part of the big pivot of moving away from the forgebase coin.

As we get ForgeBase ready to reopen beta, here’s a look at what’s underneath it.

The product is built with Next.js and TypeScript, backed by PostgreSQL and Redis, and runs on AWS. A separate realtime service powers hosted community chat rather than outsourcing the core experience to another platform.

Birdeye provides indexed market, trading and holder data. We’re moving production Solana RPC to Triton for authoritative on-chain reads, treasury verification and reward payout reconciliation. Clerk handles identity, Sentry monitors production errors, and Resend supports transactional email.

The goal isn’t to collect vendors. Each part has a clear job, with caching and durable usage controls to keep infrastructure costs predictable as communities grow.

Solana is our first chain, but it isn’t intended to be our last.

Memecoins are fun. The infrastructure supporting their communities should still be taken seriously.
