In this paper Gelashe and colleagues mapped the #genetic#diversity of Ethiopian #sesame using genome-wide DArTseq-based #SNP markers, identifying key diversity sources to support breeding, conservation, and future #genomic studies.

One of my PhD students @sefawedin,publication for wheat breeders addresses the critical challenge of low genetic gain and declining diversity in Ethiopian wheat. The study finds that decades of reliance on the same genetic pedigrees have hindered progress https://t.co/Ih1pNwKjy3
A complex dance of survival: Seedling root angle and length are key elements in sorghum’s drought adaptation strategy, working in tandem with other factors like leaf morphology and physiological responses to optimize water uptake and minimize stress.

@swas_kaushal I imagine the importance of VR glasses particularly crossing of crops have small flora structure such as wheat and Teff. I am exciting to have one! Teff plant crossing is done under microscope due to the flower structure! having such glasses may help!!

@JeanMichelAne This is great work! This aerial root more appeared when sorghum grown in high rainfall/irrigated condition particularly, the mucilage! but not common in water-stress condition.
