Today was our final Shine session ✨ . What an incredible 10 weeks it’s been with such a wonderful group of girls. It’s been so special to watch them build friendships, grow in confidence, and open up about the challenges they’ve been facing.

We are unbelievably proud of this group of girls and the outstanding performance they delivered tonight.

For many of them, this was their very first time acting, and to step onto a theatre stage and perform with such confidence was amazing. What an unforgettable experience.

Soul Girls have been working incredibly hard preparing for their performance 🎭, which they’ll be showcasing at Bradford Arts Centre during the half-term.

Today at Shine, we explored the idea of real beauty. We discussed a range of statements about beauty and decided together whether we thought they were fact or fiction. We also looked at how filters can change the way people see us and influence our perception of ourselves.

Today we welcomed our new Shine Girls. We talked about what makes each of us unique and reflected on the negative things people say and how those words affect us. We made our Jars of Hope, filled with positive affirmations to remind us to speak kindly to ourselves every day. 💛

A big thank you to all who turned out for our Santa Parade 🎅 we gave out hundreds of bags of chocolates. A big thank you to everyone who took part in our parade and to Lower Grange centre for hosting us.

Christmas party #2 done ☑️ Today was Soul Girls’ turn 💕

We had party food, made Christmas slime 🧪, played Christmas games🎅, and finished with a Christmas fashion parade 👗🎄.

We had party games, food, a visit from Santa 🎅, loads of chocolate 🍫, a few tears 😢, and the most beautiful Christmas gifts 🎁✨.

Today at Champions we started our Christmas crafts 🎄. We made Christmas gift tags and snowman ☃️ Christmas cards. We gave the kids a few ideas to get them going, then left them to it, and we were so impressed with what they made.

Today at Soul Girls, we were joined by Karen, who worked with the girls on a variety of dance pieces for the show they are producing and will be showcasing in January. We also had Rhian with us to create a film that will be projected as part of the girls’ performance.

Today at Shine we talked about anger 🤯✨
We explored what triggers our anger, how it shows up in our bodies 🧠💓, and what feelings might be hiding underneath it 😢😤. We also learned some positive coping strategies 💪🧘‍♀️ and finished the session by making slime! 🧪💚

🌟Today at Shine we talked all about conflict 💥🗣️

We looked at different ways we can handle conflict:
😡Red person – gets angry
🙈Blue person – avoids/people pleaser
☺️Yellow person – calm & explains how they feel

We discussed the strengths & weaknesses of each approach 💬

Today at Shine, we talked about friendships, what makes a friendship healthy, the red flags to watch out for, how to repair friendships, and the difference between banter and bullying. We ended the session with sparklers! 🧨

This is what they discovered this morning 😞 @church_prim @Donnaxj600s — you���d have been so proud of your boys! They didn’t give up or walk away, but worked tirelessly all day to completely transform those concrete blocks

Our Wildlife boys have worked so hard transforming the grey concrete blocks on Crediton. After waking up to their hard work all graffitied over they just got back to work to finish the transformation. So proud of them all ����
