Tyrone Power and his third wife Dennie Minardos visit Elsa and Charles in England in August 1958 during the run of stage play The Party. C and E both had a bit of a crush on Ty Power, who died just three months later while filming in Spain.

Happy Labor Day to all who labor. All my life I've had a burst of renewed energy in September. The "back to school" season still feels like a second new year, better in some ways than Jan. 1. Here's Deborah Kerr at home with a pile of books, ready to re-start the year.
Great day down in London helping to celebrate Elsa and her mother at 27 Leathwaite Road. Lots of people attended and none of them will ever forget the battle with the recalcitrant shirt that was covering half the plaque!
On Sunday 13th July, at 2pm, a plaque honouring Elsa & Biddy Lanchester will be unveiled at 27 Leathwaite Road, Battersea. Come and meet me, my pal Charlotte Booker, Dillie Keane from Fascinating Aida, & other Elsa fans. Hot weather expected. I may not even wear a waistcoat.
