@davemeltzerWON He never said that... he questioned how smart it was for her to get pregnant at that particular time, which is still iffy, but nowhere close to the above.
@ColtHandsome@johndrewmarkley And thatβs fair enough. But I think he's doing his own creation a disservice. Then again, I've always found Moore to be a bit of a knobhead tbh... despite being an incredible writer.
@ColtHandsome@johndrewmarkley No, but Moore's attitude to the character in general is odd. He clearly thought more of him than "smells and no girlfriend," but that's what he boils him down to in interviews.
@TheVallyD There's a vague suggestion that the lake itself is cursed, and that's how J was going to return. I thought that was what they were going with at first.
Seeing complaints that Crystal Lake is dumb and silly... have you seen ANY of the Friday the 13th movies? π If anything, the series finds a way to add a bit of seriousness and pathos while also working as an OTT slasher throwback.
@53gaDr3amca5t Maybe watch the first episode and find out? His mother gives him a gift of some camping equipment... it's not supposed to be a sinister moment.
As a big fan of the games, I was able to have some fun with #StreetFighter, but it has a lot of problems. It nails some characters, makes a complete mockery of others, and the humor is below American Pie levels of juvenile (I lost count of the gay jokes).
The fight scenes are very well handled (which will be enough for some), but I wish the movie had taken itself just a *little* more seriously.
Ryu, Ken and Akuma are standouts. Chun-Li is unfortunately landed with the worst dialogue and a frankly bizarre subplot involving an obsessive colleague who touches himself during one of her fights (yes, really).
Bison is a creepy weirdo... and not in a good way. Blanka is mostly great but rubs his armpit and smells... you know what, I think the director may have some pretty messed up fetishes.
