The woman David Lammy wants to choose our judges says they should NOT be appointed on merit alone.
She thinks diversity should determine appointments.
She must not be allowed to run the Judicial Appointments Commission.
Yesterday Andy Burnham put 'reindustrialisation' at the heart of his pitch to be Labour leader.
Today Ed Miliband will whip his MPs to vote to shut down the North Sea. The greatest act of industrial self-harm in a generation.
Will Andy stand up for British workers or not?
@Keir_Starmer@GordonBrown Would that be the same Gordon Brown who sold all of our Gold at $200 per ounce in 2001 when it then multiplied in price 10x to $2,000 per ounce ten years later and is currently worth more than 20x what he sold it all for?
Who is that you guys REALLY work for eh .........
@gluck216821681@MKnight_1984 It’s a two horse race between Newmont and Newmont… absence of M&A by NEM, in addition to reserve depletion and the proximity to Bruce Jack makes it pretty clear.

“He’s blown it.”
@HugoRifkind says the prime minister can’t keep passing the blame to Ed Miliband on energy, as it makes him look “powerless.”
@StewartWood | @PatrickkMaguire
The Jackdaw field alone could provide the equivalent of 250 million barrels of oil in natural gas, and could be up and running by Christmas.
But because of Ed Miliband and the Labour Party it is stuck in limbo. Keeping us ever more reliant on imports.
Madness.
Labour just voted to block North Sea drilling during an energy crisis.
Turning down more domestic supply and £25 BILLION in extra tax revenue.
That means more taxes on ordinary people instead.
Economically illiterate doesn't even begin to cover it.
