I was unprepared for the glory that is Mom of War. Game looks FANTASTIC! Can't wait to meet the mysterious woman that convinced a traumatized Kratos to start another family

Welp, @RobertsSpaceInd has passed $1 Billion in funding. Marking a huge milestone in what is easily one of the wildest experiments in game development history.
For a 14+ year Alpha it is unique in so many ways. No other game like it... (when it works, of course lol)
@Lord_Ka1n@Meepok1@DoesItPlay1 I think there's several conversations going on here & they are overlapping
You should absolutely vote with your wallet, all the better if its in keeping with your values
If you buy a game you should be able to play it without awkward hurdles in your way
It requires a day 1 patch 🤨 it'll be offline afterward
If you get an early review copy that has stipulations, and your first response is to take to socials and ask gamers to "cancel your pre-orders"—maybe you shouldn't be getting early review copies anymore
Cancel your pre-orders! Gothic Remake is unplayable offline. THQ is withholding this info from customers! No proper marking on the package. No notice on the store page.
This was discovered through a copy of the game that was sent early by the official THQ Store.
@Macrike@Meepok1@DoesItPlay1 I get what you're saying, but games have gotten way more complex these days
I'm not justifying a poorly managed product that ships with issues. But shipping an SNES title is not the same thing as a modern game
Agreed! In an ideal world (not the one we live in), if a physical disc is issued it should be the final product.
However, if a critical issue IS detected—are you saying that the game should just be unplayable because you'd rather not download the patch that fixes it?
Ultimately, it's on the devs/publisher to not get themselves into this situation. But I'm not sure arguing based on principle that we can't solve problems is the right course.
@DoesItPlay1 All I'm saying is a game not working prior to its official release is not cause for canceling dev support en masse. It's not yet a Stop Killing Games moment, because the game isn't out.
Regardless of how the 'early copy' gets acquired.
Probably a joke, but if any form of entertainment drives you to destruction like this—for your own sake, it'd be good to practice anger management and cognitive behavior therapy
But I'll guess a Getting Over It-like or a MOBA 😅
The expected follow-up. Sequels don't happen in this order. It's hard to know what's happening internally or even with their parent company
Wishing those affected land on their feet and find wealth & happiness
After ending development on Destiny 2, Sony's Bungie will lay off staff and focus on Marathon rather than jumping directly to Destiny 3 https://t.co/ixfx27vJ8o
If it can be determined there is invalid viewership, and a clear & accurate CCV can be defined, why is a cap even necessary? Why not just remove the false count?
If it can't be determined, how are honest streamers to trust that this system will be applied fairly and correctly?
Twitch's upcoming Viewership Cap for streamers persistently viewbotting will impact LARGE creators first, but over time will be applied to creators of all sizes.
