Rose Bay Secondary College is a part-selective co-educational high school which provides quality education for the students in the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney.
On Monday Stephan Rochecouste came to Rose Bay Secondary College with his Wheelchair Sports Roadshow van. The IEF shared the day with the PASS classes. The students and teachers enjoyed the experience and welcomed the new perspective.
5 senior students had the opportunity this week to attend a careers day at AFL SportsReady to explore careers in the Sports Industry. It was a fantastic day and everyone had a great time and learnt lots about career pathways in Sports Management and Coaching.
A group of Year 12 students had the amazing opportunity yesterday to attend a Careers Day at the Park Hyatt at the Rocks.
They explored a whole range of careers within the hotel industry and had a lot of fun at the same time.

Year 9 students had an excellent few days at Camp Somerset. This cohort have worked together to become more resilient and better connected to one another. We are so proud of what the Year 9 students have achieved.
The IEF's visit to the Friendship Bakery in Vaucluse left a lasting impression on the students and they left with a great appreciation for the dedication and skill required to work in such a place.
The 7 hour Construction Industry Safety Training (White Card) was held last week at RBSC - students now have a solid understanding of how to keep themselves and others safe when working on a Construction site.
On Community Access in Darling Harbour, IEFM discovered a Pride Rainbow and knowing that June is Pride month they had their photo taken on the colours. Later they enjoyed had a healthy conversation about how important it is to support diversity.
On the 18th May RBSC held a Careers Expo where students in Years 10-12 got information and inspiration from a range of tertiary, training and business organisations.
This week the library is exhibiting a special display of Shakespeare’s works. A highlight is the recent donation by Mr Robin Hutcheon of his copy of The Norton Facsimile “The First Folio of Shakespeare” to the school, a beautiful tome of Shakespeare’s complete works.
Yesterday we farewelled Social Science teacher Mr Shakibaei. He is heading to Fort Street High School to take up an Economics and Legal Studies teacher role after a decade at RBSC. We want to wish him all the best.

Today’s staff development day was focused on First Nations cultures. It included a smoking ceremony, yarn circle, cultural painting, and walking tour of North Bondi.
