The most prominent feature of ADHD is executive dysfunction. One challenge is initiating tasks. It’s just legit HARDER to motivate to start. Often this intersects with feeling overwhelmed and not knowing where to start. The result? We just do nothing because we feel “paralyzed” and end up ruminating about all we “should be doing.” This is often super uncomfortable and a shame spiral is often not far behind. Can you relate? -Dr. Jen
@EvidenceOpen Wow! So much compassion for peeps who have probably had a LIFETIME struggle with their weight that you know nothing about. Get some new information because fat people are not “lazy”, “ undisciplined” or “unwilling to exercise”. Eating less & exercising doesn’t work for everyone.
@blablafishcakes Same question but presented in a different way
Interesting that women overwhelmingly responded in favour of encountering a bear rather than a man
You can do this. This too shall pass. But don’t just get through this. Find the beauty. Bring it inside.
And say, “I’m so much stronger than I dreamed possible. And when I’m not, God still is. Thank you, God. Help me, God. Show me, God.”
He loves you. He’s got you. He knows…
This is Pastor Loran Livingston. He has some thoughts about Christian Nationalism and the new Trump Bible. Do you agree with what this pastor is saying here?
I do.

The flood of life's demands will consume us if we don’t take the time to let God right our perspective, reduce our stress level, and whisper His tender truths of love in our ear.
Let’s slow down enough to receive all that He longs to pour into us each and every day.
@PriscillaShirer Amen! Amen! Amen!! It took me a long time for this to really sink in but it finally has. I kept trying to fight my battles in the flesh and with the flesh, but our battles are not against the flesh!! @PriscillaShirer you have a wonderful study on the Armor of God. Thank u!
When our circumstances are hard and we’re tempted to let our hearts slip into despair, I pray we will remember this: God is working things out. He is present. His plan is still good and He can still be trusted.
These are true certainties even when life feels so very uncertain.
Don’t feel sorry for or fear for your kids/grandkids because the world they are going to grow up in is not what it used to be.
God created them and called them for the exact moment in time that they’re in. Their life wasn’t a coincidence or an accident.
Raise them up to know the power they walk in as children of God.
Train them up in the authority of His Word.
Teach them to walk in faith knowing that God is in control.
Empower them to know they can change the world.
Don’t teach them to be fearful and disheartened by the state of the world but hopeful that they can do something about it.
Every person in all of history has been placed in the time that they were in because of God’s sovereign plan.
He knew Daniel could handle the lions den.
He knew David could handle Goliath.
He knew Esther could handle Haman.
He knew Peter could handle persecution.
He knows that your child can handle whatever challenge they face in their life. He created them specifically for it!
Don’t be scared for your children, but be honored that God chose YOU to parent the generation that is facing the biggest challenges of our lifetime.
Rise up to the challenge.
Raise Daniels, Davids, Esthers and Peters!
God isn’t scratching His head wondering what He’s going to do with this mess of a world.
He has an army He’s raising up to drive back the darkness and make Him known all over the earth.
Don’t let your fear steal the greatness God placed in them. I know it’s hard to imagine them as anything besides our sweet little babies, and we just want to protect them from anything that could ever be hard on them, but they were born for such a time as this.

There may be days when we feel forsaken. But we never are.
“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.” Deuteronomy 31:6
Unrealistic expectations often lead to our greatest frustrations.
That's why the best place for us to look is always Jesus. He is the answer to our every need. He is our one true source of satisfaction.
In a world that promotes tearing others down to build ourselves up, we can make a difference by using our words to bless and encourage.
And simply giving kind words is one of the greatest ways to make the love of Jesus known to those who so desperately need it.
Our God is a God of completion. He makes promises and then He fulfills them. They may take longer than we’d like and the journey may be harder than we expected, but we can rest assured that our God will always be found faithful.
