#OlympicPark We saw three Painted Lady butterflies today which is quite a good number here in one day as in previous years I might only see three in a season. I noticed # Norfolk had quite a few this year. @uk_butterflies
The colour of these Bombus humilis in comparison to Bombus pascuroum is quite different although I have seen queens of Common Carder with a very bright colour which is similar at a glance. @iancbeavis@noordinarypark#OlympicPark
This bee was such a beauty to see. The colour was so fresh. Iโm guessing Colletes similis the thorax was a bright reddish brown. @iancbeavis#OlympicPark#E20@noordinarypark
#OlympicPark#E20@noordinarypark spotted today at the Park. Osmia spinulosa mating pair. @iancbeavis Those eyes are just so beautiful! Iโm glad I didnโt disturb them too much.
@iancbeavis Thanks for explaining the behaviour Ian. I thought at first it was some sort of mating ritual, to attract females, there were so many of them.
