I was given my name by the Iroquois Nation many hundreds of years ago. By 1660 my name was printed on maps by the Europeans as they accepted the Native name which means Beautiful waters.
In 1867 the Canadian government decided to use my name for their providence.

This adorable retriever mix — this impossibly brave, endlessly good-natured glutton for love —entered our lives on the streets of Tbilisi, Georgia. We found him half dead from a broken hip and a mangled paw, but now look at him: full of life and ready to play at a moment's notice, still very much a pup at two and a half. But we need to find him a permanent home, preferably with experienced rescue-dog people in a quiet neighbourhood, who will give him the love and cuddles he needs.
