Dorris Mosima-Moabelo was allegedly stabbed to death by her husband in Molekane Village, Mokopane, on 11 December 2024.

Reports state that the husband stabbed Dorris in the back in front of their children in their kitchen at home. He then dragged her outside, continuing to stab her while their children desperately cried out for help. The husband later attempted to take his own life by stabbing himself but failed. He was subsequently hospitalised and later arrested.

Dorris leaves behind her four children. This horrific murder occurred just one day after the conclusion of the 16 Days of Activism. Fly high, Sister. #WomenForChange #SayHerName
