In Matthew 5:9, Jesus said, "Blessed are the peacemakers." There's a reason God calls us to live in peace. Don't allow people to get you out of character and block your blessings. Ask God to remove the urge to get your lick back. Remove the mindset that you have to hurt those who hurt you. Focus on protecting your peace and letting God fight your battles. It's hard, but being the bigger person and focusing on God is so worth it in the end.
