Just last week, regime apologists were questioning the decision of the US to place Uganda on Level 4 Do Not Travel Advisory! We LOVE OUR COUNTRY, but those who rule over us are the enemies of our country. See this video and you may think you're watching a scene from a war front. But this is Kisekka Market, in the middle of our capital. How do you persuade people to visit a country that behaves in this manner? Heavily armed thugs in plain clothes terrorising people in broad daylight! No wonder ordinary people thought they were armed robbers! And yet, these are the regime operatives who have been given the licence to terrorise, abduct and murder without consequence. How can ordinary citizens distinguish between criminals and security operatives when there's no difference in how they conduct themselves? We must all aspire to build a country where security forces behave with utmost professionalism.

Four days have passed since the televised abduction of our Deputy President for the Buganda Region, Hon. Muhammad Muwanga Kivumbi, by gun-wielding men in plain clothes, aided by Uganda police and traffic officers.
To this day, his whereabouts remain unknown.
The police and the military have refused to account for him. Equally disturbing is the silence of many religious and cultural leaders in the face of such blatant lawlessness, thereby normalizing it.

A short while ago, I spoke with Hon. Muhammad Muwanga Kivumbi, our @NUP_Ug Deputy President for Buganda Region. What a delight to see that after several months, he is out of unlawful detention without trial - at least temporarily. As everyone knows, Hon. Kivumbi never committed any offence. The criminals who attacked his home and murdered people are the ones who should be answering for their crimes - and I believe they will, at the right time. For now, we welcome him back, and the other comrades he was detained with.

It is always a great delight to see that even in the midst of so much rot, there are still judicial officers who will rise above the pervasive intimidation and live to their oath.

Two leading civil society leaders and distinguished lawyers, Dr. Sarah Bireete E.D @ccgea1 and Eunice Musiime E.D @amwaafrika are the latest victims of the ongoing criminality. They have been abducted by the military and driven off to an unknown destination. These are definitely tough times, but the TOUGH PEOPLE OF UGANDA will outlive them. Uganda will be free!

Amidst endless diversions by the regime to deflect citizens' attention from the recent electoral fraud and Uganda's deepening moral and institutional collapse, these words by retiring Judge His Lordship Stephen Egonda-Ntende at his farewell sitting yesterday could not have come at a better time. The Judge urged the judiciary to search deeply within itself for a soul.

He boldly condemned the injustice and cruelty of continuing to jail comrade Waiswa Mufumbiro without bail beyond the constitutional limit, moreover on a minor offence, to the extent of denying him the chance to accompany his children to bury their mother, his wife, the late Edith Katende.

Indeed, as the good Judge suggested, no Ugandan should ever be treated like this again by their own country!

This is Natabi Fauzia, who we fondly call Maama Kyeyune — the wife of my Personal Assistant 𝐃𝐨𝐧 Sheriff Najja. She was abducted on 12th March 2026 when the military raided her home looking for me, and since that day she has never been seen again. It is now 17 days and she remains missing.

This entire incident was captured on video as armed men dressed in UPDF uniforms shoved her into a waiting ‘drone’ and drove away. To date, neither the Uganda Police nor the UPDF has come forward to explain who these individuals were or where she was taken.

Since her abduction, we have taken every lawful step to secure her release or at least establish her whereabouts:

1. The matter was immediately reported to the relevant security authorities, but no clear answers have been provided to date — neither do they even acknowledge or address the incident.

2. Formal complaints have been filed with various human rights organizations and stakeholders, and continuous follow-ups have been made, but all yielding no meaningful response.

3. Legal action has been initiated, including efforts to compel authorities to produce her in court and account for her disappearance. The application is set to be heard on 1st April 2026 at 8:00 AM in the High Court at Kampala.

Despite all these efforts, Maama Kyeyune remains missing. Her family continues to endure immense emotional pain as they wait for any information regarding her safety.

We demand her immediate and unconditional release or, at the very least, that she be presented before a competent court of law to answer whatever charges her abductors may have against her.

No family deserves to go through this. No citizen should disappear without explanation.

Mr. Arnold Mukose, a journalist with the Alternative Digitalk media, was abducted two days ago after concluding a talkshow. Yesterday, the military also attempted to abduct Digitalk's proprietor, Norman Tumuhimbise, when they raided his home. The whereabouts of Arnold, and the justification for these actions, are currently unknown. We demand that the regime respect Arnold's rights by either setting him free or allowing him the due process of law if he committed any crime. The persecution of citizens because of their opinions MUST STOP!

Lucy is a daughter to our brother Eddie Mutwe, who is languishing at Luzira Prison for no crime whatsoever. We checked on her at her school for visitation. Those who know them understand how close she is to her dad. His continued detention without trial wears down heavily on her, especially now that she is a Senior Six candidate. Despite this, she's working hard to excel. A BIG THANK YOU to all those who send in whatever support to ensure that children like Lucy remain in school. God willing, this sad chapter will close someday🙏🏽

Was pleased yesterday to witness this democratic exercise through which the Makerere University @NUP_Ug Chapter elected the flag bearer for Guild President. Comrade Kadondi Gracious emerged winner. We shall be rooting for her as she faces the next challenge ahead.
