@DNicholsAuthor Using a pen name was the safest way to be creative without people judging me. It's how I managed life expectations with my inner world. I still use a pen name because it's fun and for legalities (separating personal from business).

I'm so tired of all the writing rules.
"Don't do this", "Don't do that", blah blah blah...
You know what? I'll do what I want.
My book. My story. My characters.
If I'm not allowed to write however I want, how am I supposed to have my own voice as an author?
There IS an audience for me and my stories/poems, even if it's not a big one, and I don't mind.
Apparently being a writer means writing books, reading books, rewriting books, editing books, running social media, making graphics, writing blogs, sending newsletters, marketing yourself, networking, crying into coffeeโฆ and then somehow writing another book. ๐คฃ
@CMichael_Author I genuinely worry about providing any of value to others. So I don't mind interacting such as with a like or repost, but to follow triggers RSD (rejection sensitivity dysphoria). I'm still learning to build my online presence.
We honor not only what our athletes accomplish on the field, but also how well they care for themselves beyond it.
There is more to share about Cibarewโs own athletic traditions โ but that is a story for another day. (3/3)

A brief transmission from the Sovereign:
Tonight, I observed the American ritual known as #SuperBowlLX. Itโs my first year watching without my father, though his beloved Steelers didnโt make it this season. (1/3)
Still, I watched on his behalf โ a small continuation of a tradition he loved.
Here in Cibarew, athletic events are more than spectacle. They are a celebration of what the body can achieve through discipline, training, and devotion. (2/3)
Reading is so necessary. To understand other people's perspective and be invested in their stories makes your empathy grow. I think we all need empathy right now more than anything .
โThink not of the books youโve bought as a โto be readโ pile. Instead, think of your bookcase as a wine cellar. You collect books to be read at the right time, the right place, and the right mood.โ
