Couldn’t agree with this more. Passing Senator Graham’s Russian sanctions bill would be a fitting tribute to his long and clear support for Ukraine and his principled stance against Vladimir Putin
Wilson: I guarantee you there are 10 reporters in D.C. right now who know exactly what Mitch McConnell’s medical status is. Maybe more.
They’re not reporting it.
We know from people who are very clear that he’s in a certain rehab wing for acute cardiac failure, all this stuff, at the hospital. He is alive. Our source is not able to say if he’s conscious or cogent.
I don’t think the magical 20-minute conversations about Mitch McConnell—you know, “He’s perfectly fine”—are real. I think we’re going to find out all that was a lie because they want to run out the clock on the special election question in Kentucky.
If I’m Andy Beshear, brother, just declare the election. And if they want to prove that Mitch McConnell is alive and well, go do it. But that is not something I think they can prove.
When Joe Biden’s health scares started to mount up, we had 24-hour-a-day coverage. It never stopped. They were beating the White House down every single day about it.
When the July 7 debate happened in 2024, that was a clock that went off because the media drove the story. They pushed and pushed and pushed. They turned over every rock.
We don’t see that coverage about Trump. We don’t see that coverage about McConnell.
💥In the first poll of this momentous week, Netanyahu's coalition gets 52 Knesset seats to the Opposition's 68. And, following the trend, Gadi Eizenkot' party & Eisenkot personally beat Netanyahu & his @Likud_Party.

When I heard about Senator Graham’s death last night, the first thing I thought about was not all the things he said and did in service of Donald Trump. I thought of the time before Donald Trump when he was a brother to Senator John McCain.
A time when senators from different parties could fight about politics and still be friends. A time when a conservative Republican from South Carolina could say of my father: “If you can’t admire Joe Biden as a person, you’ve got a problem. He’s the nicest person I’ve ever met in politics. As good a man as God ever created.”
That is the Senator Graham I will remember today. Not because I have forgotten what came after. Because in that memory there is hope. Hope for a country where brothers can fight like hell over policy and still share a meal, and a laugh, and the loss of the people they love.
I will choose to remember the time before Trump. Because I believe in an America after Trump.
¡HAALAND ENTENDIÓ TODO! 👏🇳🇴
IMPOSIBLE NO QUERERLO. ❤️
🗣️ Haaland: "It has been the best weeks I have had in my entire life. I think it has changed Norway. I think it has changed me. I hope it has brought the people together.
I hope this also motivates young people back home in Norway, that it is possible to play on the biggest stage wearing this jersey."
Lindsey Graham was one of the main subjects of a @TheAtlantic cover story I wrote in 2020, on why people collaborate with regimes they know are immoral. Here's a gift link:

Trump is trying to gut the Endangered Species Act. This is a big deal, and he must be stopped.
For half a century, harming a protected animal meant you couldn’t destroy the place it lives. The Supreme Court backed that up in 1995. Six justices said the obvious thing, that if you wipe out an animal’s home, you wipe out the animal.
Trump wants to throw this out so his friends can pave over the last nesting ground of a vanishing species and call it legal, as long as they don’t personally kill the animal.
Starve it, drill it, mine it. Go right ahead. It’s a permission slip for oil and mining companies to speed up extinction, and habitat loss is already the number one reason species disappear.
This rule ignores the plain text of the law Congress wrote. The 1995 ruling is still on the books, and a rule this lawless is exactly what judges are there to strike down.
Congress must act too. I’ll push for a vote to overturn this, and I’ll fight any spending bill that tries to lock these rollbacks in.
And you have a role. Public comments already are hundreds of thousands strong against this.
Keep the pressure on.

Ukraine will participate in France's Bastille Day parade for the first time on 14 July, with 25 servicemembers marching on the Champs-Élysées alongside French forces and representatives of 34 other Coalition of the Willing countries
Ukraine received the maximum foreign quota allowed by France for each partner delegation. Ukrainian troops will close the international section of the parade, with President Zelenskyy on the presidential tribune alongside other heads of state and government.
The aerial component carries its own weight. The parade will open with the Patrouille de France aerobatic display, accompanied by two French Mirage 2000B two-seaters. French pilots will fly the aircraft, but Ukrainian pilots who trained on the same Mirage 2000B jets at the Nancy and Cazaux air bases in France will serve as co-pilots.
Ukrainian Senior Lieutenant Yaroslav described what the march means to the troops participating: "We march for everyone who is now on the front line. And in memory of those who fell in battle. And we remember every hero."
France delivered the first Mirage 2000-5F to Ukraine in February 2025 and by early 2026 was considering transferring all 26 of its remaining Mirage 2000 aircraft
We don't set cars on fire. We don't smash windows. We don't fight each other. We come together to thank our national team. The people of Oslo have gathered outside the Royal Palace once again. Tonight isn't about the defeat, it's about celebrating our national team for taking us to the World Cup quarter-finals. This is the beginning of something special! 🇳🇴
