Alex replies as he takes a swig from his drink. Feeling how hot it is down his throat and trying his hardest not to react.

"I wish I had more time to come explore the city."

Aria sips her drink and sighs happily, sitting back on the seat. She moves her hand and takes a piece of cake between her fingers and put it in her mouth. “Oh, I had the day off so I was just checking out the town. It’s very rare for a day off.” She hummed. “This is delicious.”

He has to wait a little bit longer for his drink and cake as he just looks over to Aria smiling giddily, to the point that he misses the barista calling his name for the first time.

Shaking his head as he hears the barista the second time.
"So if you don't mind me asking–

Aria smiled and nodded grabbing her drink and cake from the barista. “That will be perfect.” She said calmly walking over to the table and sitting down.

Hearing her laugh and call it the weirdest blind date, Alex didn't really know how to feel or react.
"Yeah sure how about that table over by the window?"
He says pointing to one of the few free tables.

She looks away from the menu to him when he mentions a date. She gave him a soft smile. “A date? This is the weirdest blind date ever.” She laughed and looked up at him. “Well if it is a date, we can sit down and get to know each other over coffee.”

"No it's fine. I invited you on the date..."
He freezes and stops speaking.
"Uhhh.. no not a date... Wait no that's"
He looks down clearly flustered.

"I invited you to the place so I'll pay."
He says looking over to a staff member ordering–

She follows him to the small cafe. Aria smiled as she took a step in and gasped at the decor. “Wow this feels so cozy.” She said quietly looking up at the menu. “Are you sure? I don’t mind paying for myself. Because I want a pumpkin spice latte with a cinnamon cake.”

Alec leads the way to a diner styled cafe. Pushing the door open letting Aria go inside first.
"Ladies first.." he says quietly to her. Before following on inside the place itself is clean and has an almost 70s feel to the furniture.
"So what do you want? I'm paying"

“Well, lead the way then. Because now you are making me hungry.”

She laughs pushing her purse up on her shoulder.

"Nice.. I know a good place not far from here. I usually go after a run but this morning has got me in a pumpkin spice mood"
He smiles giddily trying to keep himself composed.
"oh and they have these amazing cakes as well.. delicious."

“Oh it’s not a waste of money at all. I would eat and drink it all year round if I could.”

She brushes hair from her face.

“Sure. I could use a pick me up.”
