धूप में नंगे पांव साड़ी पहनकर दौड़ लगाने वाली कविता महतो जी से उनके गांव जाकर मिला और उनकी तपस्या को प्रणाम किया। फिलहाल उन्हें एक एडिडास का जूता और ट्रेक सूट दिया गया है ताकि वह होमगार्ड बहाली में अच्छे से दौड़ सके। कविता के पति दीपक महतो गुजरात में काम करते थे। बीमार पड़े इलाज में बहुत पैसे खर्च हुए लेकिन उन्हें नहीं बचाया जा सका। छह महीने बाद उनके भसुर की भी बीमारी से मौत हो गई। कविता बताती हैं कि इलाज के वक्त जो कर्ज हुआ वह अब तक वह नहीं चुका सकीं हैं। कविता के दो छोटे बच्चे और सास-ससुर हैं। कविता घर चलाने के लिए ईंट भट्टा में काम करती हैं। हर दिन सुबह चार बजे उठकर वह दौड़ का प्रैक्टिस करती हैं उसके बाद घर का काम और फिर मजदूरी। उनके संघर्ष को सलाम। दुआ करता हूं कि होमगार्ड में उनका चयन हो जाए। 🙏
