I talked to Spo about the roster around Giannis Antetokounmpo and Bam Adebayo
He turned that into how he will use Bam and Giannis
Part that excites me:
- Mentions inverted offense cause both can handle
- Use of either/or at the elbows
- Screeners
- Spacing principles
All I see here is a grown man stood on business and didn’t like the way another man was talking about him. 14 was dead wrong for those comments. Bam considered him a brother and was definitely blindsided. Just gotta be real
They’ve already come out and said they’re fine with how things are, whether they land a whale or a goldfish, they’re content with the status of the franchise. They just want to sell tickets and make money. I wish local media would stop pushing the BS of “Miami is interested..”
Though ESPN insider Shams said Heat was interested in Ja - and @Anthony_Chiang confirmed a conversation between teams but nothing being remotely close - ESPN's Windy and Bontemps reported today that a Heat pursuit of Morant is "highly unlikely" and the Heat wants cap space for 2028 offseason, when there could be good free agents. As we've said, Miami has made no offer and it's only a consideration if it's a complete giveaway by Grizzlies. Memphis might need to throw in a first lol.
Regardless of how you feel about Mike as a person. Or how smart he is. He was:
2-7 vs Buffalo.
0-5 in Buffalo.
4-24 when trailing at halftime
4-11 with QBs other than Tua
4-21 with replay challenges
3-16 against teams above .500
Thats what got him fired.
Chris Grier is directly responsible for building the roster, which is horrendous.
Mike McDaniel is directly responsible for coaching and earning the respect of that roster, something he has failed to do.
I don’t care who you want to blame, they both need to be terminated.
@OmarKelly Loll that’s the fix you’re looking for? An overnight miracle? To fix 25 years of problems?
It begins the REAL rebuild. From top to bottom. Hire the right personnel to lead the team in the right direction. Instead of the blind leading the deaf.
