There’s a cost to medical expertise. Successive governments have ignored that cost & created this crisis, but the alternatives cost more? This is dogma - they were quick 2 waste money in the pandemic; investing in NHS medical expertise now would signal true commitment 2 the NHS.

Today’s announcement of another pay cut for doctors puts us on a collision course with the Government. We will be fighting for full pay restoration for all doctors.
A 4.5% pay uplift is bad enough, but to leave junior doctors in England on 2% is as unfathomable as it is enraging. The multi-year pay deal included a provision to review it if the situation changed - apparently a global pandemic and economic crisis are not enough for ministers.
