@ReelAnarchy Art and storytelling are dying and its all because we refuse to challenge audiences even slightly! It’ll be remakes forever to satiate a bunch of people who can’t handle the fact they aren’t children anymore! Everything has to be “safe.”
@ReelAnarchy As an actual artist, and the evils of herself set aside, it is so soul crushing that modern audiences are so coddled that millions are being spent to recreate a series of movies everyones already seen. You’d get the same feeling buying a funko pop you adult babies!
@DiscussingFilm The very concept of telling your friends you’re staying in on new years to watch the stranger things finale? I know there were some funko pops in that stocking…
EHRC’s interim guidance is awful: an overextension of what was decided by the Supreme Court, and with chilling ramifications.
When they say there are circumstances where trans people can be excluded from public life altogether, you know it’s about more than delivering “clarity”.
I want all the anti-trans queers to watch very closely as anti-trans rhetoric broadens to wider mainstream anti-gay rhetoric.
I want them to understand how their reward for being "one of the good ones" will be the same as the punishment for being "one of the bad ones".
PSA to cïs women, men act like this towards trans women because we're deemed acceptable targets (see the replies). He will treat you with the same disdainful misogyny in private, and more and more over time in public as your personhood is whittled away.
This isn't a conspiracy this is just true. Huge swaths of grown ass adults on here will have a temper tantrum if you show them anything made for an audience older than 15
Disney pulled this, as I understand it, specifically because the GOP won the US elections.
A reminder that Disney will drop any and all support for LGBT+ people, and indeed any other minorities, the moment they believe it won’t make money anymore.
