Colm Murphy on ZANOOSH:
“Zanoosh will probably roll on to Fairyhouse now after her win at Limerick and we’ll be going there with a good chance. She has surprised me. You’re always hoping they’ll keep improving. Every run, you’re hoping you haven’t hit the ceiling.
“She’s only ever won on heavy ground. I wouldn’t have said she was ground-dependent. It’s one of those seasons where we had nothing but heavy ground to run her on
“They’ll be more worried about the Murphy horse. I couldn’t give two hoots who we’re coming up against. As long as we have her in top order, they’ll be just as worried about us.”
This weekend in The Irish Field, John O'Riordan caught up with conditional jockey Ross Berry, fresh off the back of his first winner since making the switch from the amateur ranks. Link in comments below.
🗣️ "It's nice to get that first one."
Congratulations to Ross Berry, who secured a first winner as a conditional aboard @LimerickRaces scorer Siege Ofjadotville 🥳
