Finally, the world is waking up to what we've been saying all along — South American football is a different beast.
For years, Copa América and Copa Libertadores were disrespected. Treated like second-tier tournaments by people who never watched, never understood. They laughed off CONMEBOL World Cup qualifiers, not knowing they’re closer to survival battles than football matches.
This isn’t just about tactics. It’s about altitude, heat, torrential rain, endless travel, hostile crowds, and raw, relentless intensity. Every match is war. Every pitch, a battlefield.
Now, with this tournament, the truth is finally being seen. This is South American football — and it's very real. 🌎🔥
Finally, people are seeing that South American football intensity is completely different from European football.
For years, people disrespected Copa América and Copa Libertadores like they were second-tier tournaments, and they didn’t even believe the truth about how the CONMEBOL World Cup qualifiers are a whole different sport compared to Europe’s.
We kept telling everyone this was the real deal: playing in tough conditions, at high altitudes, traveling crazy distances, and dealing with sun, rain, and everything in between.
I’m very happy to see all of this showing in this tournament.
The best part about the Club World Cup is the South American teams putting a dent in the hubris of European football fans. Football remains a global sport even if all of the money is concentrated in one continent.
Idk how u can watch someone score as much as other legendary strikers, playmake like your zidanes and kdbs and dribble like maradonas and hazrads AND still think there’s someone better
He’s done this with a team that was found 7 years ago and was the absolute worst team in the MLS before his arrival. Went on to win them two trophies and now this. Never has one gotten so much out of less
I loved how everyone just excludes Messi out of best player in the world arguements just because he plays in the mls, this mf still top 2 and he ain’t second
Even at their old ages, the difference is clear, one couldn’t even create chances for his team until he was able to score a tap in
While the real GOAT creates chances, assist goals and score free kick goals
Lionel Messi, the best there ever will be. 🐐
