I write posts and try to do them daily or at least weekly. Check out my site (https://t.co/pusGJRoChn) for my latest posts. I often write about topics like ARM, RISC-V, NixOS, and things I am interested in or involved in.
@IamSkipJackson@SciFiArchives Actually, some of the low end modern Android phones are pretty cheap. But you do have to give them credit, back then those processor were very simple compared to what we have now.
@jonoberheide Oh and if you're dealing with Python, you have to update 30 packages to fix 8 vulnerabilities but not all of the 50 other packages want those versions of those 30 updated packages.
@bexbsd I know the ROM is good, I've done testing of the option ROM module's RTL before integrating it with the rest of the design. But yeah, I'm trying to add a hypervisor to the monorepo for this hardware so I can see if EDKII can load it at least.
Because of the number 4 and file uploads in PHP, a lot of the Internet is quite vulnerable. These next few days are going to be crazy. Especially now that you can just tell a clanker to do a thing and with a reasonable degree of success, it'll just do it. With how many vulnerabilities there are, it's becoming more trivial for bad actors to act malicious.
just mitm'd TLS on an iPod Touch 4 without installing a CA cert on it
this thing is never getting a security update! just like many IoT devices (if they ship with any global root cas at all...)
