The Australian government has made some minor changes to its voting record at the UN. It's welcome but comes after 14 months of incredibly weak "concern" over Israeli actions in Gaza and Lebanon.
Murdoch's Australian newspaper goes to Netanyahu and asks for a statement, knowing full well it will damn the Australian government and accuse it of inciting anti-Semitism et al. All nonsense, of course.
I have no sympathy for PM Albanese and his government but this isn't journalism. It's dishonest and a complete creation of the outlet. It's also possibly concocted by elements of the extremist pro-Israel lobby or Opposition.
Asking a man accused of war crimes for comment is certainly one way to run a newspaper. 🫤
