The lifestyle you speak of is monastic, not everyday ordinary life of Catholics. I know it well for over 50 years. And there is no faith to speak of in so many of our Catholic brothers and sisters. Faith is not secret, not invisible, not private. Faith is actively engaging in relationship with Jesus Christ. Faith is sharing God's salvation and love TO EVERYBODY, IT IS NOT SAYING "A PRIEST IS HOLY, HE SHOULD SPREAD FAITH IN JESUS!" Every individual will give an account to God. As I have asked many many people if they know Jesus Christ and are they saved...the Catholics always say, "I'm Catholic" in answer to the question. YOU HAVE A LOT OF WORK TO DO BROTHER!!! The purpose of life is to know God. Know God. Then when we go to Heaven He won't say-from the gospel: depart from Me because I DID NOT KNOW KNOW KNOW YOU! Problem is: that the question I ask many people and people's answer is a rehearsal of our personal judgement in Heaven. COULD YOU REALLY IMAGINE THAT YOUR FAMILY MEMBERS AND FRIENDS AND YOUR STUDENTS WHEN THEY GET TO HEAVEN/JUDGEMENT AND ARE ASKED WHAT THEY DID WITH ALL THE OPPORTUNITIES OF BIBLES SITTING IN THEIR HOME AND PREACHERS PREACHING AND THE WORD BEING PLANTED IN THEIR HEARTS...AND THEY ANSWER IN HEAVEN: I'M CATHOLIC???!!! YOU HAVE FAILED. YOU, A CATHOLIC LEADER OR PROFESSOR WHICHEVER YOU ARE--YOU HAVE FAILED THE PEOPLE. YOU KNOW THAT YOU COULD LITERALLY PREACH JESUS AND YOU CARRY-ON OBSCURING THE TRUTH. There will be accountability for that. Read what Jesus says in the whoa to you statements in the bible. There is no extra and no substitute. You have not and probably WILL NEVER address all the Leadership wrong and evil and sinful shepherding that I have mentioned but believers KNOW there's a lot that is ROTTEN.(yes caps for emphasis)

The relationship, actual faith relationship with the Father, Son and Holy Spirit is simply possible and is required before ANYONE gets into Heaven. I know confidently because the word of God tells us. Remember that in the beginning was the word and the word was with God and the word was God. The word is eternal, it's not the book. The word is the Son and He and the Spirit were with the Father from the beginning--NOT when He began his body of believers on the earth. God existed before all people and times. He is not limited to a government of man, sinful, dark, pagan worshipping, idol worshipping Leadership. I would not want to be associated with all of that. Develop a relationship with History and Ritual??! NOO! --That's all dung! If you are reading this right now: Know that Jesus stated VERILY VERILY...no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again. Jesus said, I am the way and the truth and the life. There is only a faith relationship with God. I know all that stuff. I choose Jesus over all of man's twisted "devotion" and religion. You readers can have a relationship with Jesus also as He told you Himself He is knocking at the door of your heart as your read this right now! Say, Jesus I open the door of my heart and invite you in to be my Lord and Savior right now. I repent of my sins and I believe that you died on the cross to forgive my sins. Ok Fr Matthew, IF you're using history, you must also utilize recent history. After decades of public shame- Catholic Church in America finally had a huge meeting of bishops, Cardinals and leaders in Dallas, TX around the year 2000 to address the priest pedophiles. It offered statements of regret and new rules for background checks for office staff. But the problem was pedo priests! It's STILL happening today. Nobody "NEEDS" the Catholic Religion. Everybody Needs Jesus in their heart. God's word is not chained up by any human institution!
