@NicholasMorto11@justinmarozzi@BasicBooksUK Thank you Dr M, I certainly will. I very much enjoyed the Mongol Storm and the Crusader States and their neighbours. I popped into my local Waterstones a week too early 😅
If only I had the money, would I love to turn these empty units in the @GWABirmingham into an independent bookshop. Specialising in history, science and fantasy. Hosting events with authors and postgrad research students from across the city’s unis. One can dream…
Thoroughly enjoying ‘Assyria - The Rise and Fall of the World’s First Empire’ by Prof Eckart Frahm. I love history. I can be sat at home and transported back thousands of years.
@WestMidRailway Thank you. May I ask how I go about claiming for delay repay via the Trainline please? I have had to book a taxi to Wolverhampton station as I can’t wait for a rail replacement bus. Can I claim in this too? Thanks
Today was hard. Being your grandson was one of my life’s greatest gifts. From growing up in Brum during the Blitz, to being married for 69 years. Having 3 sons & watching the family grow, to being awarded an MBE. I will forever cherish what we shared & I will miss you immensely❤️🩹
Ran one of my favourite trail routes this evening, as I’ve done the last few days. The carpet of wild garlic and bluebells, and the tweeting of birds is wonderful. It’s given me some time to think about what I want to say in my Nan’s eulogy at her funeral next week.
The programme for this years @ChalkeFestival is brilliant as always. It has been my annual highlight for the last 4 years. Counting down the days to the best week of the year, in a stunning part of the country, packed with fascinating history and incredible historians.
