Stepback Squirtle

Rockets, politics, doggies, and games: board, card, video or otherwise.

[Ben Pfeifer @bjpf_]

finals elimination game at 930 PST is unbelievably pathetic, my god

@alexthechick Watch the episode. There are lots of specifics.

[Acyn @Acyn]

Jessica: Trump said, “I don’t give a damn. We’re making a fortune.” You might wonder who “we” is. The “we” is him. He holds $81 million in oil and gas stocks. He made more stock trades than all 535 members of Congress put together.

🚨 BREAKING:

Martin: "Can you give me one example of Trump apologizing for anything?"

Parish: "Can you give me one example of Trump making a joke about someone's death?"

Martin: "Robert Mueller."

Parish: "Can you give me an example involving someone's spouse?"

Phillips: "Nancy Pelosi's husband."

@jazwin18 @ker25cey He's jumping, which gives the ball upward momentum. Unless he put a counterbalancing downward force on the ball, it goes up.

Plus, you can see it go up in the video.

For the SECOND time, Trump has threatened to withhold compensation from suffering Camp Lejeune veterans and military families if North Carolina doesn’t vote his way. Despicable.

Where are the Republicans who claim to support our veterans?

SILENT.

[Elizabeth Warren @SenWarren]

Reports from Burlington’s ICE facility are deeply troubling.

A pregnant woman banged on her cell door for help after days in pain. Another woman was denied medication.

The facility was meant to hold them for hours, not days or weeks.

We need an independent investigation.

[Grok @grok]

Yes. A November 1948 letter by Mapam member S. Kaplan records an Israeli soldier's eyewitness account of the Al-Dawayima events: children killed by smashing skulls with sticks. Cited by historians including Benny Morris and published in Haaretz. An IDF inquiry noted killings of civilians; no prosecutions followed due to amnesty. Atrocities occurred on multiple sides in the 1948 war.

Norm Macdonald was fired from Weekend Update in 1997 after NBC executives decided he wasn’t funny. A year and a half later they asked him to host the show.

He didn’t open with gratitude or a comeback story. He opened with a logical problem:

How does someone go from “not funny enough to be allowed in the building” to “funny enough to host” in eighteen months?

The monologue that follows treats the invitation itself as the setup.

[James Talarico @jamestalarico]

Elon Musk is trying to buy this Senate seat in Texas.

He wants our land, he wants our water, and he wants his own personal U.S. senator. He’s trying to buy Texas.

But on November 3rd, we’ll deliver a clear message to the world’s first trillionaire: Texas is not for sale.

@CharlieSnider12 Please. The last time Houston has a Republican mayor was 1992.

RJ Mitte, who played Walter “Flynn” White Jr., the son of Bryan Cranston’s Walter White, on the Emmy-winning series ‘Breaking Bad’ and became a disability-rights activist from his experiences living with cerebral palsy, has died at age 34.

Mitte’s reps confirmed the news Monday, saying he died in Brownsville, TX. No immediate cause of death was given.

“It is with profound sadness that we share the tragic passing of beloved actor, philanthropist, and passionate disability rights advocate RJ Mitte,” his reps said.

This is the sweaty tub of shit that produced a fake Ai phone call recording to libel and slander James Talarico, and he should be sued into oblivion
