Rubber tyre Rollers. Is anyone in the mallee using them on lentils etc? Do they do a good enough job for the header? Weβve only ever used steel but the tyre ones are a lot cheaper.
@cosfarming Our calibre is disgusting. It quit too early and all the sand is screenings. Looks like a 3t crop from the road but will be lucky to go 1t/ha!!
@JakeLeguee This is a great read. This is one issue that we all believe we are struggling with alone, yet in actual fact, all farmers struggle with. The sense of guilt on both ends of the spectrum. At the end of the day, family must come first.
One of the things I struggle with in farming is finding a balance between work & family. I don't think I'm alone.
This might be the single most important thing in your life to get right - & one of the hardest.
How do you manage your work-life balance?

@desertfarmer84 We are having the same issue in lupins with an 8230. Up to 8 smoulders for the season. Tried every bit of advice from chains to LEDβs. We are now blowing it down every hour. Itβs adding a lot of unwanted stress to the back end of harvest. Itβs bloody witchcraft!
Hey @GrainCorp, how about lifting your moisture tolerance from 12.5% to 13.5% this year in cereals to help your clients out. Your losing a lot of tons to other sites and itβs costing producers a lot in timeliness. π‘
