It was wonderful to welcome Anthony Knight, who is studying the violin at the RCM, yesterday to St Matthew's, as he performed Meditation from Thais by Massenet as part of his Pilgrimage of Hope and raising funds for @UNICEF.

This evening marks the beginning of the Paschal Triduum. Following the conclusion of the Liturgy of #MaundyThursday, the Blessed Sacrament was transferred to the Altar of Repose, and the Watch has begun. The church will remain open until midnight for prayer and quiet meditation.

The Vicar was pleased to be at the @bishopoffulham Chrism Mass today, where he renewed his priestly vows.

Oils that were blessed at this service have also returned to the parish, and will be used throughout the year for baptism, consecration, and for healing.

A deeply encouraging sermon today from our guest preacher, Fr Stephen Gallagher, in what was a wonderful Sunday morning. May we be reminded of those words at the end of our Patron's Gospel, that all believers are called to the work of mission.
