Cooper's Painting Contractors Ltd blasted the steel plating to the main Fish Deck area. Overall, steel looking wonderful, again revealing riveting and rolled strapwork around hatch combings. The blasted deck was again immediately given a coating of protective Jotamastic paint.
This morning, the deck from the starboard quarter up to the trawl winch was then blasted to clean away corrosion, revealing the riveting and the wonderful looking steel plate beneath. The blast material is cleaned away and a coat of protective paint immediately applied.
Coopers Painting Contractors Ltd have arrived to start work on Ross Tiger.
This week, they'll be sand blasting the steel deck following the removal of the rotten timber.
