Founder of @wrldleadership and Co-Founder of @teachunited. We help schools bring purpose to learning. There is more opportunity to do this now than ever.
Schools rarely give teams the time and space to get ideas done. This is where our K12 Purpose Summit comes in (1/31-2/3 in Boulder, CO). Our commitment is simple: if you give us a team with a focused idea, our coaches will help them get it done. Join us! https://t.co/x7bgBzihsj
@susiewise's book Design for Belonging has been a major inspiration for me in thinking about the levers we can use to make school become a platform for human thriving. @wrldleadership
"The problem today is not stress, the problem is meaninglessness."
Essential to Watch: "What if we designed schools specifically to help children thrive?"
Come and see @knowKMD!
Reminds me of Design for Belonging @susiewise.

This talk explains why purpose is the next design principle for school. School is broken right now for many children. This video looks at the science behind purpose and how a new generation of schools are using it to help children learn and thrive https://t.co/GlvyJ4dNkq
We have 5 spots left for our Salmon River Program for School Heads from July 13-18 in Idaho. This is a yearlong support program for school leaders that starts with a rafting trip in deep wilderness. Join us. @crottymark@wrldleadership@NWAISconnect https://t.co/KGor3zKfkd
@SchoolCouldBe@wrldleadership I'm the facilitator for this program, now in its second year. If you lead a school and you like nature, join us for this powerful yearlong program. We have leaders from public, charter, and independent schools. 5 spots left - thanks @SchoolCouldBe
Are you a school leader looking to recharge this summer? We are once again offering the Salmon River Program for School Heads, which begins in July with rafting on Idaho's Salmon River followed by a year of community conversations. Leaders need this space. @wrldleadership
Our river program for school leaders is a wrap! Over five days, we paddled 80 miles down Idaho's iconic Salmon River. We left our cell phones behind and dropped into a much-needed experience to Connect, Renew, and Reflect. Join us July 2023 for our next trip!
This week in our Designing with Purpose Workshop @mfsfox worked with @JessCatoggio to use our Purpose tools to broaden their existing approach to Intensive Learning Travel Programs. Next up - coaching through our Virtual Coaching Institute. We can't wait to see the outcomes!
If you want to learn about the Mastery Transcript Consortium, a movement to replace the traditional college transcript, learn more at this talkback from schools moderated by an MTC alum. More excited than ever about MTC after their recent conference. https://t.co/OIqfwKJ9Si
When we allow human development to drive learning, and not vice-versa, all kinds of design decisions about school start to make sense, as explained in the first few minutes of this interview with my favorite education neuroscientist. https://t.co/B3G6crdutY @wrldleadership
This is an excellent example of how a school can go beyond the theory of purpose formation in young people and anchor it in a specific toolkit that scaffolds for the grade level. Nice work @DTSchoolSeattle and @SueABelcher
The Downtown School kicked off their school year with a Youth Purpose Summit - check out their blog for more on how students explored purpose learning and worked to craft their own purpose statements https://t.co/JaDTnNkG0y

I am excited about how the team at @wrldleadership is scaffolding the purpose clarification work for middle and even primary grades. Purpose is a process of identifying, following, and intentionally building meaning in life and this is a powerful survival skill for this moment.
Another incredible Youth Purpose Summit in the books! Today @e_hawk3 and @JessCatoggio spent the day working with middle and upper year students at @BritishSchoolNY
The Youth Purpose Summit at The Downtown School in Seattle is a wrap! @RossWehner had an amazing time working with 140 students and faculty as they explored gifts, shared stories, and built purpose maps for following meaning in a month ahead.

Kudus to @jdeborahklein, our first-ever Director of Professional Learning at @wrldleadership, and @kaponoc for their new book: The Landscape Model of Learning. "Educating students is a growth process that mirrors the growth of plants." Amen https://t.co/aui04mYlNr
I really loved this article from @leadanddesign exploring school culture, which can be like "wrestling with a shadow." A fascinating reminder that school culture is constructed and can be shaped with intention. @gregbamford @Carla_R_Silver https://t.co/CQB5uojGG5
