A great team can be made with a combination of better than average players, great coaching, being fundamently sound, tremendous team chemistry, & the right things happening at the right time. Great teams know they are good.
Mental health should be a priority at the youth levels of sport too. Stop with the rankings, stop with the comparisons, stop with the social media threats and hateful comments. It all needs to stop. If you are reading this, you are loved. You are valued. All the rest is BS.
We are losing student-athletes at an alarming rate & we’re looking at coaches alone to fix it. Believe me, I’d move the earth for my players- but we’re not trained specialist. So when is the NCAA going to mandate that there are sports psychologist in every athletic department?
