thought I'd contribute to #portfolioday with some more artwork I did for our VR title Blood & Truth last year! (a part from the scope)
Aiming for more personal work this year for sure!๐

Buried City pitch movies I made back in 2023, all modelled, textured and animated/rendered in Blender.
Buried City was the first map I art directed from ground up, these were used for setting the mood and direction for both commercial and the old town area buried under sand.
I tried to enable many conversations but they were all ignored, you needed people who knew African Culture to help you with Wakanda.
You used my knowledge and just started ignoring me when I started to ask for credits
Very disappointing

@ArtOfPilgrim We bought some pegs from amazing for trampolines and they've worked perfectly! Id recommend as a flying trampoline could cause some damage ๐
@ArtOfPilgrim@Mega_sean I guess you can triangulate on export, but I guess you can't see the results doing that. So the only other would be to triangulate - export - undo triangulate if there were edits needed.
Between tight deadlines and two kids I do struggle to fit in blender learning ๐
@ArtOfPilgrim@Mega_sean I still don't know why Maya hasn't adopted the modifier stack workflow! Like once it's triangulated you'd have to export and then undo the triangulation rather than having a nice modifier to turn on/off whenever ๐
@AbKi@lingy000 thanks! It took a while and one of the hardest challenges i went through rewiring my brain from realism to a stylised art form.
There were a fair few unsuccessful tests before this one but i felt happy enough with this end result to share๐ I learned and grew from each one prior
I tried my hand at some stylised work and looked at recreating this lovely corner piece by @lingy000 in 3D. I photoshopped the character on top of my 3D render, I didn't model that too๐
It was definitely challenging and learned a ton, I had to rewire my brain a bit too!
