What a joy to spend this weekend at the Diana Wynne Jones conference 2024, celebrating one of the greatest ever writers for children 📚✨
📷 Sitting on a panel with two of my favourite living authors, the amazing @garthnix and @acaseforbooks
@carolvorders We are just outside the boundary in Chelmsford but we’ll be voting tactically for Lib Dems to get the Tories out! Fingers crossed Kemi goes too, such a close one!
@BylineTimes I was just about to purchase a subscription but I can’t support journalists who think it’s acceptable to call people the C word when they disagree with them. Very unprofessional. I would personally have parted ways with him, the whole incident looks terrible.

@MarkLender1970 I’m so so sorry for your loss - my main piece of advice is to take all the time you need to grieve, ignore anyone who tells you it’s just a dog. Remember her and remember the incredible life you gave her ❤️ things will easier in time, I promise, but now take time out for you ❤️❤️
@anon_opin Personally there should be a ban on fireworks, and only silent ones allowed. The effect on animals is awful. My dog was killed by fireworks - one spooked her whilst she was in the garden and she dislocated her hip in her panic to get back inside. She was in agony 😢
@donnyjkimball I totally agree - we absolutely loved exploring everywhere in Japan but it was so hard researching beforehand - so many articles and videos only focused on Tokyo, Kyoto and Osaka. It would be nice to see more published about lesser known places to help inspire more people!
@flickhwilliams We saw a car half parked on a drive and half over the pavement that had been ticketed by the traffic warden - hopefully more of that will make people think twice! Sorry this happened to you xx
@donnyjkimball We were just there Thursday and Friday - it was lovely to stay overnight to watch the beautiful sunset and appreciate the island, but Thursday wasn’t too busy. Lots of school groups on the island too!
More than half a million people were sanctioned last year after breaching conditions of their benefits claims, yet when the Prime Minister breaks Parliament's own conduct rules it is dismissed as an 'inadvertent' breach and he's let off scot free
