November 29th: Nomie announced he will be installed as Rotary District 7620 District Governor on June 22, 2024. The location will be the plaza in front of College Park City Hall, which boasts flag poles donated by RCCP.
February 21, 2024: Our members took a survey on how to create value for our club. The word cloud shows more service projects was the winner, followed by recruiting more members, offering interesting speakers, improving meeting organization, and more happy hours/fellowship.
On December 2, six RCCP members volunteered at the Santa Fly In at the College Park Aviation Museum. Patsy Ezell is shown serving cookies to an appreciative father.
Rich Borchelt, director of the Office for Communications and Public Affairs for the U.S. Department of Energy, Office of Science, led an energetic “Conservation Conversation,” focused on the protection of birds.
Brooke Kidd, founder and director of Joe's Movement Emporium, spoke at our meeting on March 8. The Rotary Club of College Park partners with Joe's every year to distribute 200 high quality winter coats to children in the Rt. 1 corridor.

Winners of the RCCP Superbowl pool were: 1) First quarter: RCCP; 2) Second quarter: Mike Twigg; 3) Third quarter: Anthony Ness; and 4) Final: Ron Browning. Congratulations, one and all!
RCCP's Superbowl pool raised $4,000, which we will use to support local non-profits, such as St. Mark's Food Pantry, as well as sponsor students from local schools, such as the College Park Academy, to attend Rotary Youth Leadership Training. Thank you to all who donated!

Our speaker on January 18 was Lisa Anne Thompson Taylor, founder and CEO of Board Veritas, a professional service firm that advises for-profit and non-profit organizations on how to grow their business and increase shareholder value.
