The Rotary Club of Covington partnered with @BradleysBBQ to donate 60 meals to Piedmont Newton Hospital workers. We will continue to look for ways to support our community and those on the front lines.
We had more than 20 members log on with us yesterday for our first virtual club meeting. We will meet online Tuesday, April 14 and look forward to connecting with everyone then.
If you are interested in participating in our next meeting as a visitor, please message us for info.
We will meet Tuesday for a virtual meeting through the video conferencing program Zoom. If you are unfamiliar with the program, see this tutorial for how to join a meeting: https://t.co/cbBgiQzCpy.
The meeting link and ID will be sent out in the weekly email bulletin.
Congratulations on another successful Rotary Has Heart giving campaign. The Rotary Club of Covington is always looking for ways to give back to the community, and this year's campaign was no different. We are thrilled to support the Covington FUMC Food Ministry!
Thank you, United Bank for the generous $1,000 donation to the 2019 Empty Stocking Fund. Donations like this is what makes it possible for us to provide Christmas to families in need across Newton County.
Thank you, Boone Brothers, Brian Edwards and Troy Kirkpatrick, of BD, for providing some clarity to our club on the ongoing ethylene oxide concerns in our community.
Thank you, Kiwanis Club of Covington, Georgia for hosting us in a joint meeting Thursday. We enjoyed hearing about each of the Covington City Council candidates.
REMINDER: Tuesday's meeting will be a joint meeting with Kiwanis at the Covington Airport to host mayoral candidates.
We went purple for World Polio Day!
Did you know when a child is vaccinated, they have a purple stamp put on their little finger. So each Purple Pinkie brings us closer to making Polio history.
Congratulations!
We will continue to announce our 40 Under 40 honorees on social media over the next few weeks. All of our honorees will be featured in a special magazine included in the Oct. 26-27 weekend edition of The Covington News.
