“I’m a free soul. I don’t overthink life. And I love people.”

Allan Mukasa Ntambi's story begins with a simple belief: young leaders shape the future.

His Rotary journey started with that belief, and a promise. As a teenager in Uganda, Allan joined Interact because “it looked like a club full of life.” When he later transferred to a school without one, he decided to start it himself. His teacher warned he’d be expelled if it failed, but Allan held firm: when he commits to something, he follows through.

Two months later, the change was unmistakable. Students who had once been labeled “undisciplined” were cleaning classrooms, encouraging each other, and stepping into leadership.

When his father retired and school fees became too difficult, Allan stayed determined. Inspired by the Rotarians he’d met, he worked on construction sites to remain in school until his dedication earned him a scholarship from the same school he fought to stay in.

He pursued studies in IT and built a career in communication because “people think they’ve communicated when they haven’t.” And Rotary was always on his path. Today, he’s a dual member of the Rotaract Club of Kampala Central, and the Rotary Club of Kajansi, and the first District Rotaract Representative of District 9213 💛
