@TXMCtrades if that is the main problem you could just make a amount x tax free. The poor would benefit overwhelmingly and the rest would notice it lass and less, the higher their income
@guriguri751@MizutamariVT >I like the car you guys are producing
>Nice. We are sadly gonna stop production of the car and spare parts in a bit
>DIYs the spare parts to keep it running
>Why dont you stop being lazy and design and build your own car model
>???????
@Tats_Gunso regardless of intention, the reemergance of this extinction level threat. Add to this, that because Japan industrialised rather rapidly and under outside preassure meant, that the japanese were more carefull to safeguard their culture from being lost to convenience. 4/idk
@Tats_Gunso what I took from this thread was basicly the following.
Japans rapid adoption of technology, the early availability of high quality internet access for the average persone and its rather lax relation to copyright in the early 70s-80s lead to a near extinction level culture 2/idk
@Tats_Gunso kind off.
But I also found a thead that detailed a bit of the historical backtound for this and it has been enlightening and depressing (because its unlikely we will ever see eye to eye on this one) to see the difference between our experiences. 1/idk
@Frozen_Frog_8@Ultrakyriel@SupaSandGoku_V2 options are, the reemergance of that extinction level event. And obviously compounding on this is the fact that Japan does not have a distribution problem for their domestic games and that the country seems to have a verry solid 2nd hand market for older ones.
@autopilotgod Netflix only led to a phase of low piracy. But tbf to them, the return has more to do with needing a gazillion streaming services and anti monopoly laws
@JapanAnon one thake i heard that makes me understand the japanese perspective more, is that the companies are so tight fisted because they have a reasonable fear that any bad press (e.g malvere in a mod ), even if they have no conrol over what happened, might ruin them on the domesticly
