@cowbroker Credit cards companies have charged between 2-5% processing fees forever. The rates are based on volume, security (swipe vs online), and rewards points. Every business pays them! retail promotes their own cards so they get a cut of the 3%.

@RMConservative IMO Trump 1st Term played right into their hands by eliminating the penalty for not having insurance. This was one of the funding mechanisms that was eliminated and replaced with more printed money (deficits). It was the piece that caused individual pain and people hated it.
