It's giving Africa Magic Yoruba thinking, where a spineless man brings nothing but crumbs to the table and then always has to shout "I am the husband of this house" to demand respect as against naturally commanding it, all because the woman is the real breadwinner with actual evidence of more dough from hardwork.
