I am 34 years old today, and I’m not ashamed to say that my life is still a work in progress.

There are places I’ve planned to visit but haven’t. A career I’m still growing into. Dreams that are taking longer than I expected. A home I’m still building. A love story I’m not going to force. A few prayers that remain unanswered.

And perhaps the most important thing I’ve learned is this:
I don’t give God ultimatums anymore.
I no longer say, “God, if this doesn’t happen by this age, then what?”

I no longer turn my desires into deadlines and call the deadline faith.
I have learned that God does not need my timeline to prove that He heard me.

Some things came late. Some came differently. Some never came at all, and somehow, I survived all three.

So at 34, I am choosing something better than having everything figured out:

I am choosing to trust the process without insulting the present.

I’m not behind. I’m not late. I’m not waiting for my real life to begin.

This is my life.

And I intend to live it beautifully while it unfolds.
