Marriage thrives where there is humility, accountability, and a willingness to receive godly counsel. A person who cannot be corrected may eventually become difficult to live with.
Proverbs 12:15
One quality to look for before marriage is teachability. Be careful about marrying someone who has no mentor, no spiritual authority, or no trusted person who can speak truth into their life.
One thing I strongly believe is that the level of your faith determines the depth of your spirituality.
Let me explain:
Faith grows in stages. Every temptation you overcome moves you to a higher level of spiritual maturity.
It does not matter how long you have been a Christian.
If you allow your weaknesses to control you, temptation will always find its way through those weak points. The enemy often attacks where you are most vulnerable. Until those weaknesses are confronted and overcome, spiritual growth becomes difficult.
