While wiping the walls of her great grandmother's cafe, her eyes glossed over a particularly shining bead. "Mm? This still here?"
She still had the 'one-day love pill' from the summer prior...
"Won't work girl to girl. But... Ukyo is prince. Will work."
Mischief was afoot.
hoped for.
She unveiled her weapon in a horizontal slash, a preemptive attempt to stifle his approach from the front. It seemed she was 𝑡𝑟𝑦𝑖𝑛𝑔 to bait him into a sloppy approach of some kind.
His speed wasn't ever anything to scoff at in the time she'd known him. And that instance was no different. "Ch...!" If she thought too hard, it'd cost her a swollen jaw. She relied on the tickling air, jostled by his intense approach, to clue her in on where to turn. >
He scoffed, a smirk of his own plastered on his face. "So impatient. You're just like your father!" In a burst of the speed that made him famous across feudal Japan, he threw out a swift hook at the young hanyo's cheek, the whipping winds from his quickness surrounding them both.
Keeping her distance would be her only path to victory, she guessed, and to that end, she rose her palm to meet that fist head-on. The force behind it would still send her skidding backwards, however. "You're gonna have to go harder than that!"
Which was just what she >
"Damned sure!" She boasted, finding it in her to grin at the foolishly placed challenge. It almost seemed as if she'd forgotten their initial reason for even beginning the race. Every branch that Mitsuki kicked off of was met by Moroha's bound, and not so much as a second after.
The presence of the crimson blur was one that made her turn around and smirk towards the nearing girl. "Are ya sure about that~?!" An eager kunoichi was a bomb of energy, at least Mitsuki, who was already /speeding/ up!
"Heh~? Singin'? Could've invited me first." Came her voice from the tree just above that quiet, moonlit lake. "Which village is that one from again?" She asked, squatting atop the thick branch casting its shadow over her murmuring comrade.
"That's right," with an arrow drawn and poised to launch at any second, she'd made her stance at her lover's side clear. "And this strength of mine'll keep your stinkin' paws off of Setsu's heart!" It seemed the eldritch blob of a creature ahead of them had been cornered.
@KichoHime Moroha folded her arms shortly thereafter, certain there'd be nary a word of protest. With her eyes shut in that moment of confidence, she'd be ignorant to the disdain Setsuna may have had for her potential folly. >
Eager stretches gave way to the bouncing of her heels. Hand at the grip of her blade, she made no secret of her impatience. "Throw 'em at me! Don't keep me waitin'!" Her smirk was the proverbial cherry on top.
