HOW TO INVITE THE HOLY SPIRIT DURING YOUR FAST

1. Begin with surrender. Present yourself before God and ask Him to cleanse your heart, purify your motives, and prepare you to receive His leading.

2. Invite Him sincerely. Speak to the Holy Spirit in prayer. Ask Him to fill you, lead you, teach you, and make you more aware of His presence throughout the fast.

3. Worship before you make requests. Spend time honouring God for who He is. Let worship draw your attention away from distractions and towards Him.

4. Pray with an open heart. Do not focus only on what you want God to do for you. Give the Holy Spirit room to correct you, reveal things you need to change, and redirect your desires.

5. Meditate on the Word of God. Read Scripture slowly and prayerfully. Ask the Holy Spirit to help you understand the Word and apply it to your life.

6. Create moments of silence. After praying, remain quiet for a while. Reflect on Scripture and allow yourself to become attentive without forcing an experience or assuming every thought is a message from God.

7.. Ask for a deeper relationship, not just an encounter. Seek His guidance, wisdom, conviction, and transformation. The purpose is not simply to feel His presence during the fast, but to walk with Him daily.

8. Obey what He reveals through Scripture. As you recognise areas where you need to repent, forgive, change, or take action, respond faithfully.

Prayer

Holy Spirit, we welcome Your presence into these 3 days of Esther fasting. Search our hearts and prepare us for what the Father desires to do within us. Remove every distraction that keeps us from giving You our attention. Give us understanding of the Word, sensitivity to Your leading, and hearts that are willing to obey. Fill us afresh, transform our character, and teach us to walk in fellowship with You beyond these days of fasting. Let this time draw us into a deeper relationship with You, in Jesus name.
