@alexmayer34 the Mariners are winless on Tuesdays this year (0-4) and undefeated on Wednesdays (4-0). What is the longest winless or win streak in team history for a particular day of the week?
The Mariners are non-tendering Josh Rojas, Sam Haggerty, Austin Voth and JT Chargois, club announces.
Moves this week have freed up about $8M in the payroll budget, roughly doubling what the Mariners are projected to have available this offseason.
The Mariners are 69-69 over their last 138 games
They are 420-420 over their last 840 games*
*we do not know if this is actually true so please do not ask Alex Mayer to confirm
Scott is unequivocally the second best manager in team history. But in the "who gets fired" war, I think axing a manager has more of a chance of impacting a team for the duration of a season than axing someone in the F.O. This seems like a Hail Mary to salvage this season.
Bryan Woo on clearing the 7th inning for the first time in his career:
"It means a lot. It's been a tough year just like watching the rest of the staff do what they've been doing and staying healthy and just being horses. And I think that's all I'm really trying to do."
@thejagepage it would be a higher pedigree of the Ty France/Abe Toro/Canzone deals where they go after a guy who can clearly hit but is blocked by his MLB team
